Boss not ready to pay me during my 3-day leave

I am working in an automobile company. I have to attend my friendís marriage in a few days time and thus have to take 3-days of leave for the same. I have many of my casual leaves left but my boss is not ready to pay me during this period. I donít know what is his problem but this is not fair. What action can I take in this regard?

    Hi friend

If you have many of your casual leaves pending, then your boss has no right to withhold your payment for these leaves and thus not give you the same. You should definitely not let your boss do such injustice to you in this way and should definitely take some action in this regard. This is certainly unfair and you should tell your boss the same to his face so that he realises his mistake.

Firstly you should go to your boss and tell him straightaway that you want to take a 3-day leave to attend your friend's wedding. You have some casual leaves pending and thus want to avail the same. So you request him to sanction your leaves without loss of pay. Now if your boss again tells you that you will not be paid for these 3 days, then tell him that you are abiding by all the rules and regulations of the company and thus should be paid for these leaves. He can check the company's policies if he wants and then he too will see that he is not doing the right thing by cutting your pay. As a boss , he should always help his employees rather thaan creating unnecessary problems for them .Thus he should simply sanction your leaves and thus give you the permission to go. Otherwise you will be forced to report to the higher authorities of his behaviour towards his employees.

I am sure your boss will feel ashamed of himself and thus will definitely sanction your leaves without loss of pay. In this way you will get what is rightfully yours and he will learn a lesson and thus never repeat such a thing with any of the employees in future.

But in case he is still adamant you straightaway go to the higher authorities and complain against him. I am sure they will teach him a lesson which he will never forget.

Good luck. I hope you get justice. Thanks

hello friendAbsolutely it is not fair if you are having your casual leave remains. You should visit your boss to related this non faired manner of boss. You should take any prior commitment for explaining the issue.Tell your boss that it was an emergency and in future you will not take a bulky leaves.Sometimes any employee takes leave in bulking manner or take three to four days leave accidentally even the working load is high then boss deny to payment to concerned employees. You should always be aware of your company's rules and conditions for taking leave, pf,salary or other employment things because unawareness bring a lots problems in future if any body do same.So request to boss for paying your salary and promise to not do it again.thanks
