Boss does not want me to head the foreign trip

I am working in a private firm. Recently our company has some deal with some foreign clients. To finalise the deal our company is sending the best employees for this foreign trip. Everyone is sure that I will be selected to head this trip due to my unparalleled work performance. But now my boss wants me to stay here and help him out instead in some project. I am really dejected now. How to persuade my boss for sending me to the trip?

Don't worry, there might be some issue with your boss...Sometime it is also happen that due to some unaviodable circumstances emergency decisions needs to be taken from higher authority...
The reason is so sensative that the bosses are also not able to explain..sometime that is also not with their hand...

Leave the tention aside and don't think that you are degraded...

However you cann discuss the concern with your boss and let him say something regarding the rejection...
Ask in him in reverse order...what is the deficiency on you due to which you have been rejected so that you can take care in future....
