Boss comes late to office and then makes us stay well past office timing

Our boss has a habit of coming late to the office. He comes around midday and then just about as we are about to log off calls us for a meeting. The meetings usually last for 2 hours and we are all late going home. Can anybody suggest a solution to this problem.

    Hey!
It is sad to hear that your boss comes late to the office and then makes you stay back after your normal work hours. People at power should realize that with great power comes great responsibility. I feel that you have to show your resentment to your boss because this is unfair to the employees. You should try to find out the reason behind your boss coming at midday. There is a possibility that your boss comes late because of some family problem. If that is the case then you should try and adjust with your boss's timings because an understanding between the boss and his employees is very important. If today you will understand your boss's problem only then will he understand your problems in the future.
You should mention it to your boss indirectly that how it gets difficult for you to stay back after office hours for a meeting. If your boss doesn't take a cue from what you imply by indirectly hinting to him then you should make a group and visit him in his office. You should very politely put forward your problem of not being able to stay back after the usual office hours because it gets difficult for you to attend to your family after that. You can talk out the problem and settle for a common time for the meetings.
Incase talking politely doesn't work then you should directly tell your boss that you are liable to the office to work for a certain number of hours and after that you are under no obligation to stay back for the meetings. This is a grave step to be taken only in case of a dire condition. I am sure some solution would work out. Just be patient with your boss and try to analyze the situation. All the best.

According to statement it indicate employees are not satisfied about the company's nature of operations.Daily usual arrival of boss in office is mid day after that a meeting which is ridiculous to all such bossism is not acceptable by all.Due to his late coming all employees' to go in home at late. This is not right.Boss must change his odd punctuality in office. If the guardian of the family is indisciplined the whole family never claim that we are disciplined and it is not the process to be developed. So I think family head/office should be perfect/punctual first then others.Again everything there must be limit.Every day meeting in ofiice and late departing everyday is not the sign of good administration so such situation to be averted by taking extra ordinary steps.

    Thank you,

    HellO
Well in this case you can do one thing
You can come late, time around when your boss arrives and you can leave late.
This way you can manage your time.
or else try to disuss this with your boss about the timing.
You can discuss that you come early and stay late.so this causes you problem so you can ask him to adjust the timing of meeting during the general hours.

    Thank you
