    Boss abuses during official gatherings

My boss has been abusive with me in some occasions. I have subtly told him that I donít like it but he refuses to adhere to my words. Besides, he has threatened me that I owe my career to him. It is getting way too much to handle, please help.

    ============================

    Hi,

See,my friend, each and every organization has it owns culture and climate.
This culture is used to distinguish one organization from another.
The culture basically lays down the guidelines that must be followed by the employees of that organization.
In case an employee violates these guideline, then strict action must be taken against him.
This is done so that the image of the organization does not take a hit in the market.

Each and every member of the organization is supposed to follow the rules and regulations of the organization.
And I am very much sure that there is a rule in every organization that no person can use abusive language and hurt the feelings of the other person.
Hence even the Boss is a member of the organization and these rules are also implemented on him!

If your Boss is abusing you, then he is violating the rules and regulations of the organization.
You must make him realize about this.
If your Boss thinks that he is the head of the organization and break any rule, then he's completely wrong.

By abusing his employees,he is actually denting the image of his organization.
If such incident get leaked in the market, then it is bound to happen that the image of the organization will fall down.

Tell your Boss that you are an educated person and such things are not expected form him.
By abusing you,he's actually demotivating you.
And such acts can also result in a lot of Stress!
This is not at all in favor of the development of the organization.
Hence ask your Boss to stop using filthy languages and instead talk politely with the employees regarding the mistakes that they have done.

I am sure that your Boss will realize his mistakes and will stop acting in this manner from the next time!

Best of luck for the future!

    Dear Friend!

Your boss have not right to use abuse words in company circle while working hours if you don't make any fault. You don't need to worry about that you are owe him for your career. You should talk to your company's higher authority or company's manager or HR and tell them about this. because you are harassed by him everywhere. I hope, they will take actions against him in your favor.

    Hey!
This is a case of mal handling by your boss. You should raise your voice against such situations. These situations can only be avoided by making your boss realize that what he does is unethical and against work culture. If you remain silent and keep thinking that this would prevent your boss from using such language then I am sure that nothing of this sort will happen. Please make sure that you communicate to your boss that you will not take any abusive language.

As far as owing your career to your boss is concerned, you should very politely say that you are thankful to your boss for aiding you in times of need but that doesn't your boss should take you for a ride and use whatever language he wants with you. You should also resort to the written form of communication i.e. via email. You should put forward your point in a very subtle yet dignified manner. Sometimes the written form of communication is better than verbal because people tend to take the written form more seriously as it contains all the facts in front of you. You should show gratitude towards your boss for all the help that he has been giving you but at the same time maintain the fact that you are an individual who has worked very hard to reach the position that you are at.

Do not expect a change to take place over night in the behaviour of your boss. You should just observe whether your boss is trying to amend his ways or not. Bad habits die hard! So you will have to show patience. If no improvement is seen then you should give your resignation letter. I do not think that you deserve to be ill treated and if it is becoming too difficult for you to handle then you should not continue any further. This job will not only become strenuous for you but will also take a toll on your health.

    All the best!

    Hi aspirant

I think you certainly need to make it clear to your boss that you cant stand such nuisance and in no way are going to tolerate his abuses. He should have some manners and understand his responsibility as the boss of the company. He should solve problems of his employees rather than creating problems for them. Thus you should definitely teach your boss a lesson in morals and manners. You should not withstand such injustice from his side and make sure that if he doesnt mend himself you resign from the job for your integrity and self respect.

You go to his cabin and tell him straightforward what exactly is in your mind. Tell him that you wont stand such abusive language from his side. If you owe his carer to him then it doesnt mean you are his slave. He should treat his employees like humans and not animals. He should learn proper manners and morals. If he doesnt do it then he doesnt deserve to be the boss of this firm.

I am sure your boss will learn his lesson and will never abuse you or anyone in future. If he doesnt you tell him to his face that you want to work in such a company where the boss has no manners. Good luck friend. I hope you teach your boss a lesson. Thanks
