Your are placed in very good firm like tcs.. It pride to be in that company i think for preparing for IFS it requires max 5-6 hours of preparation every day .. Leaving job for preparation is not good idea.. You can prepare on your own because if are working you can automatically gain general awareness, general knowledge, global exposure also.. By joining coaching centre half of the time goes in travelling and remember that 90% of success depends on your preparation only.. Have complete information about syllabus of civil services exam.. PREPARE FOR CSAT FIRST THAT IS CIVILS SERVICES APPTITUTE TEST PASS THE EXAM AND PREPARE FOR MAINS EXAM WHILE WORKING.. TCS IS GOOD COMPANY CONTINUE YOUR PREPARATION WHILE WORKING WITH TCS.. IT GIVES YOU MENTAL CONFIDENCE ALSO TO PERFORM WELL

Firstly,You need to decide what you want, what your aim is and then take decision accordingly. It hardly matters what others are saying. If you really want it from your heart, then go for it.Otherwise dont opt for it.You need to have a clear idea on what you want and not on what others are saying!

Secondly, getting a job in IFS is not a matter of joke.It is something that you have to achieve with your hard work and concentration and focus. This exam consists of a number of levels ,so you have to clear each one of them to get through ultimately. If you are not hardly working then it will be really difficult for you to crack it.

So you need to check whether you will be able to give that much of effort or not.If not then dont waste time after it,simply join TCS.If you join TCS,and then think of preparing, then make it clear that you wont be able to devote that much of time necessary for IFS examination.

    Good luck
