    Action against female employees who are making the office premises as their dressing room

    I am the manager of a private firm. Recently it has come to my notice that some of the female employees of my firm are adjusting their dresses and involving in makeup in the office premises during working hours. What action should be taken against them since it is disturbing the working environment?

    You are a manager of the company.you should take the direct action on the employees.so you have to take this to the higher official of the company.You have to tell them that they are creating problem for the other employees of the company in such away that they wont get hurted.or your higher offical should warn them that their job is lost if they do such a disturbances in the office

    Being the manager, it is your responsibility to maintain a good working environment within the office premises. However, without the cooperation of the staffs working here,it is not possible to maintain the office decorum. What the female staffs have been doing is simply against the office decorum. Since they are not concerned regarding what they have been doing,it is essential to out their mistakes distinctively. Adjusting the dress may be necessary but the wash room should be used for this purpose.The working area of the office is not the place to do such activities. This message needs to be conveyed to them that for any sort of dress adjustment or touch-up use the wash- room,not in the office room as it is creating discomfort to others.

    Being a manager you can take any action that you like very much, so never hesitate of taking action on the things that are not allowed.
    First thing you need to do is warn them that it is a work place not a dressing room if they understand the situation then they will never do that, and your problem also gets solved.
    But if they ignore the warning and again they are doing such thing then give them the paper and pen and ask them to write a apology letter that they have been warned before that they should not adjust their cloths and do make up in the premises but they repeated the mistake again so they are writing the letter of apology that they will never do the mistake again and if found that they are again involved in this kind of neglegency then action will be taken against them and get the sign of those female employees.
    Then you have the written from them to take the action next time, so follow these kind of things to make them realise they are going wrong.
    Then there will be no problem exist in future.

    This kind of activities by female employees disturb the environment of the office.

    They should be politely explained regarding their mistake.

    Office is a place to work and such activities are not permitted.

    They should professionally in the office premises.

    If they do not improve their behavior, they must be warned about it.

    I think you should take the direct action on the employees.

    Sir you are the manager of that firm so this is your duty that you manage everything in the office including personnel and thier attitude in the company because if female employees are doing like this and making the office as their own dressing room then you should call any senior female employee who is good in behavior and mention entire cause that you do not want this in office premises so instruct all female employees that they do not adjust their dresses in the office and not try to make up in the office again and again because this is disturbing office environment and each employee so work effects while working hours and if anyone wants to do this then they may go to washroom and do it as much as they want

    If you will talk to them directly then this will be good for the company because manager's instructions will be followed soon so you should talk to them over this issue after calling in your office and warn to not do it again otherwise you will not need any female employee in the company so they will stop doing this in office

    if the female employees are making the office as their dressing rooms then it is a very bad thing to do in the office premises and that too at the time of work.
    You should generate a notice to all of them that you should stop doing such kind of activities in the office if they want their job to be done. And you should also issue a warning that if they will be find doing such kind of things again the future then they will be straight away terminated.

    Hi, It would certainly not look good if you go and speak with the female employees regarding their dresses and make up. Rather, you can involve the HR person, preferable a female, to interrupt in this matter and talk to all the female employees in a meeting room about this. Tell the HR person that the time spent on dressing by the female employees if utilised constructively can yield better results and in turn can help to boost the revenue of the organisation. She could ask the female employee to come well dressed from home and if they want to freshen up their make up, the can certainly do it after lunch. I am sure if a female HR talks to the female employees, this problem would be solved within no time. Thanks.
